The film Bucha is among Ukraine’s contenders for the Oscar in the category of Best International Feature Film

This year, the Ukrainian Oscar Committee received 8 submissions from domestic film producers. Among them is the film Bucha, which has already attracted the attention of an international audience.

The list also includes 2000 Meters to Andriivka, Diviya, Caution! Life Goes On, One Summer in Ukraine, Lifting Force, Stepne, and The Tape of Time.

Which film will represent Ukraine at the world’s most prestigious film award will be announced on August 28, 2025.  The ceremony of the 98th Academy Awards will take place on March 15, 2026.
