"Bucha" was shown in 11 cities across the United States as part of a big tour
In commemoration of the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion, a big tour featuring the screening of the feature film "Bucha" took place across the United States from February 20 to March 2, 2025.

Initiated in collaboration with the Leonid Foundation, the tour covered 11 cities: Rochester, Binghamton, New York, Chicago, Washington, Richmond, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Jacksonville, Atlanta, and New Brunswick.

The interest of the American audience in the film was exceptionally high. Among the viewers were military veterans and chaplains, professors, journalists, students, and members of the actors' guild.

During the Q&A sessions, many deep and important questions were raised. One of the main requests was to find a way to show "Bucha" across the entire United States on television or streaming platforms. This is a challenging task, but the film team is actively working on making it a reality.

As part of the tour, charity auctions were also held, raising $4000 to support Ukraine.

During the Q&A sessions, the film's screenwriter and producer, Oleksandr Shchur, noted that today Ukraine no longer holds the same prominent place in the U.S. media landscape as it did in the early years of the war. The wave of support has diminished, while Russia continues to invest significant resources in promoting its narratives.

In this context, support from government institutions, grant foundations, and organizations that focus on the development of film and culture remains crucial. The film "Bucha" has already been created, translated into English, and screened dozens of times in Ukraine and abroad. The next step should be a broad promotion of the film to American audiences, particularly through television and streaming platforms.

This task is strategically important not only from the perspective of cultural diplomacy but also within the framework of informational resistance — as a reminder of the cost of freedom and the scale of the tragedy that continues to unfold. Supporting this process is supporting Ukraine itself.
